The collection consists of 3 scrapbooks, two large and one small. The two large scrapbooks contain newspaper and magazine articles on UCSD, SIO and scientists, such as Per F. Scholander, William Aaron Nierenberg, Roger Revelle, Harold C. Urey, Albert B. Hastings, and Dixie Lee Ray. Also included are obituaries, postcards, Christmas cards, photographs, telegrams, correspondence, and news releases. The small scrapbook consists of photographs of Per F. Scholander taken by Fritz Goro of Life Magazine on Salmon Research at Stuie, British Columbia in September, 1968. Added to this collection on August, 1989 is an oversize 17"x21" black & white photograph taken of Dr. Scholander.
